"Hi, I'm Mark Emily on behalf of Expert Village. In this next segment we'll be talking about rinsing our grains and getting the nice work out of them so we can use them in our brewing process. While we're waiting, we're going to start preparing on half gallon of water to do our rinse at about 170 degrees. Now we're going to take our grains out after a half an hour has passed and we're going to rinse them with the hot water aiming for 170 degrees that we've already had steeping. This will help extract a little extra of the sugar and the flavor. Now as it's dripping dry, its ok to give a very slight squeeze, but do not over squeeze it as will extract too much tannins. Now that we've extracted the colors and flavors from the specialty grains, we're going to turn up the heat and start getting ready for our boil."
