"Hi, I'm going to tell you a little bit about a little-known wine named Viognier. Viognier is from the South of France, where it's known as a Rhone varietal. There's a few wines made in the South of France that are a 100% Viognier and they're worth taking out. They're called Chateau Grillet and Condrieu. They're also very expensive, so if you have 60 dollars to spare, make sure you try one. If you don't have 60 dollars to spare, you can try a Viognier from California, from Texas, or from Australia. You'll notice that these are some warm wine-growing regions, which makes sense, since Viognier came from the South of France, where it's quite warm. Australia seems to be doing a wonderful job with Viogniers, and California's regions like Lodi and the Central Valley, the Sierra Foothills also do a great job. It's also one of the one white wines that really really does well in Texas. Viognier can have a nice, full texture. It can have a nice, lemon, lime, green apple, peachy, apricoty type of fruit flavors, and a wonderful kind of floral hint. Lots of kind of wild flowers and rosebuds going on in there. It's a great match with lots of foods and I especially like to serve it with plain, simple foods like roast chicken, or roast duck or even roast turkey, because the wine has a lot of flavor going for it. Try a Viognier. Even if you can't pronounce it, it's worth the try. You'll love it."
