"Hi, I am going to tell you about Cabernet Sauvignon one of the worlds most popular and beloved red wines. Its a big sturdy red wine. Meaning it always has a lot of body, probably a lot flavor, a lot of tannin and maybe a little bit of bitterness. Its is kind of a lot to take. Cabernet Sauvignon is originally from France. Its actually one of the main grapes and its the world famous red wine of Bordeaux. From Bordeaux it spread pretty much all throughout the wine making world. And in any cool to warm to moderate wine growing region, you are probably going to find a Cabernet Sauvignon. You could look at the map of the wine making world and point just about any country and they are going to make Cabernet Sauvignon there. Its very adaptable in the vineyard. In other words, it can grow just about any place in different soils and different climates. Cabernet Sauvignon has some interesting aromas in it. It almost always smells like blackberry or raisin or currants. That sounds good enough. In the middle of the glass, you sometimes get some interesting earthy aromas. That sometimes I like to describe as cigar, cigarette, tobacco, empty cigar box, maybe a little bit of smoke. Okay, that sounds good. Keep going. In the middle of the glass you might also smell some chemical aromas. And one of my most common ways of describing the chemical aromas of Cabernet Sauvignon are leather, new car smell, plastic, tar or wet dog. Now, if that doesn't sound very appealing to you, I don't blame you. Remember, that's an aroma. It's going to be a quick hit. Its going to go away and I promise you, the Cabernet Sauvignon does not smell or taste to much like a wet dog. Its a big bold wine. The fruit flavors are going to come through. On the palate, you might get a little bit of spiciness, maybe a little bit of a nice round earthiness. And if you want to enjoy your Cabernet, serve it up with a good hearty steak, add some mashed potatoes, add some fried potatoes, add some green beans. You are going to have a perfect match for Cabernet Sauvignon, one of the world's most popular and easy to make red wines."
