"On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Dean Forrest with Sedona Coffee Roasters. I am here to tell you about roasting coffee. Okay the Probat L12, once we've dropped the beans down, they are in the hopper, they've gone through the hopper, they are in the drum. I have a side window here that I can see the beans moving in. In all honesty you don't see a lot in there. It's pretty dark, the beans are dark but it's a side window and we should be able to see it. What really works for me what I keep an eye on the most with this machine is that I can take any time I want beans out of the drum with this trier and see where I am in the roasting process, how the beans are doing. That is how I tell when they are done, when the next stage is coming. That is how I keep track of the beans. Here what you see is a plate that covers the end of the axle. I obviously have to keep it lubricated, keep it greased and this is the access port for that. Here is the actual very hot door. When the beans are done cooking and I've looked at them, the timing is right, they've gone through the process and I am ready to release them, I pick this door up. I won't now because the beans are ready to go now but that's what we got. This is the actual drop door. "
