"Hi, my name is Stephanie Barnett and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to show you how to make a pumpkin pie. So now we are going to set the oven temperature, it's very important that you know your oven is calibrated to the right temperature. To understand if it is calibrated, you need to get an inside thermometer for your oven. You can place inside the oven, turn on the oven to the temperature of 400 and see what that temperature gage, is it exactly 400 or not? Today we are going to set the oven temperature to bake and to 425. We will be reducing the temperature later on to 350 once the pie has been in the oven for 15 minutes. The high heat allows the crust to crisp up and get golden brown and not be soggy from the pie filling. To start the crust, you take a one cup measuring cup and dip it lightly into the flour and you want a level cup. If your flour is packed it up, please put it in a bowl and lighten it up, add it to your bowl."
