"Hi! This is Rich Buccola here in New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make an ice cream sundae, an ice cream malt, an ice cream soda, and a chocolate egg cream. I grew up in Queens where Louise's was the penny shop heaven. If you went in there with a dollar, you'd get the greatest amount of candy. Other than that, Louise's husband Sal, used to make these great chocolate egg cream. He had the fountain. The fountain is what made them there. Egg cream got its name because they actually used to put an egg in there. He's an old timer. They used to put it in because it used to be a cure for a hangover. It was a remedy for a hangover. That's how it got the name egg cream because they would throw in the egg in there. Real simple to do. Just get some chocolate syrup. Here's how Sal used to make it. I realize I don't have that chocolate fountain, so it's not going to be as good as his. It never could be. I'm going to go with a splash of milk. He used to say that the hangover cure was because of the club soda with the milk for some reason. What you want to do, he would say, is you start giving this a stir."
