"Hi I'm Karen for Expert Village. This is the real fun part of the funnel cakes. We're going to fill the funnel and then we're going to release it over the hot oil and make a really interesting fried dessert. Put your finger over the hole of the funnel like this and then take a ladle and scoop the batter into the funnel. Then when you are over the hot oil, not to close to the hot oil because you don't want to be splattered, you're going to take your finger off of the hole and just swirl your funnel like this so you get a really fun and interesting fried dessert. Just let that cook until it looks golden brown and then we're going to carefully flip it over. If your oil is to hot it will brown up very fast and almost burn, so you'll have to regulate your oil. It should be 375 degrees works best. I'm just taking a peek to see how brown it's getting and waiting just a little bit longer until it browns up."
