"Hi! I'm Karen for Expert Village. Now we're going to prepare our chocolate for the marbling. You can use your glass measuring cup that we just used. You don't even need to wash it. First we're going to put in 3 tablespoons of water. 1, 2, 3. A 1/4 cup of sugar. I'm going to put that in the microwave for about 30 seconds to a minute just to warm it up. Now we'll put in 1/4 cup of cocoa and we'll stir that up until it's smooth. It should be fairly thick. You can kind of press the spatula against the edge of the measuring cup to squish up..mix in any lumps from the cocoa. If you don't heat the water the cocoa won't really mix in. That's pretty good.
