Video Transcript

"Today I'll be showing you how to decorate this great "The gangs all here" cake. This is a super easy cake to decorate. We'll be using a ready made fondant to make the decorations. Fondant is as easy to use as modeling clay, but it's edible. This is a great cake for the beginner, because there's no need for a pastry bag, or advanced cake decorating techniques. This is what we'll be using for our "The gangs all here" cake. We'll be using a basic 9 x 13" sheetcake; that's a basic pan that most people have. We'll be using ready made fondant, that you can find in the cake decorating supply section of any craft store, or a specialty cake decorating store. We'll need a batch of white buttercream icing. You'll need a little bit of shortening, or margarine. Just a little bit, to grease your hands while working with the fondant. You'll need a little bit of confectioners sugar. This helps you if the fondant gets a little sticky, or if you're rolling out the fondant. We'll be using some food colors, and we'll be using some of these neat food color writing pens. With these pens, you can write, and then eat the ink. We'll be using some cookie cutters in whatever shapes you like; some toothpicks, a little rolling pin, and we'll be using a spatula, to spread our frosting."
