"Hi I'm Karen for Expert Village today I'm going to show you how to make this beautiful eight inch round layer cake. Our first step is to prepare our ingredients it is important to get all of your ingredients out before you start so you know if you have everything you need. There is nothing worst then getting half way through a receipt and finding that you forgot something. We are going to use today 1 1/2 cup of sugar, 3 cups of flour, 2/3 cup of milk, 2/3 cup of oil, 3 eggs, 2 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, 3/4 teaspoon of salt, and a teaspoon of vanilla. Now if you don't want to use milk in your receipt which I don't use because my husband is lactose intolerant and we can't use milk we can substitute with soy milk or with water. Or if you want substitute with something with a little more flavor you can add orange juice instead of the milk and you can grade in a little bit of orange peel. "
