"This is Mary Murphy and you are watching Expert Village. Now we would mix our pumpkin pie filling ingredients together. I like using a blender to mix my pumpkin pie ingredients together but you can do it in a bowl by hand. It is just the blender makes it a very smooth consistent filing. So you put in 1 cup of the pumpkin in the blender, 3/4 cups of evaporated milk, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/8 cup of brown sugar, 1 egg. It is always wise to crack into the bowl first encase you get some shells put that in. Then your spices. You would just blend it until it is smooth, stop half way and just scrap it down the sides encase anything clings to the side. That is the pumpkin pie filling we would pour into the crust but first we should have pecan filling done first. "
