"Hi! I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make this delicious, sweet, and refreshing pumpkin ice cream. Our first step for making pumpkin ice cream is a list of ingredients that you will be needing in order to make the ice cream. First, of course, you'll need pumpkin. I recommend using canned pumpkin instead of trying to cook down your own pumpkin. In order to insure consistency into both texture and taste. Secondly, you'll need a pint of heavy whipping cream. Heavy cream can either be labeled heavy cream or whipping cream, but it's the same thing. You'll also need some vanilla, ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, a little bit of salt, some dark brown sugar. Not light brown sugar, but dark brown sugar, and about 5 eggs. Together when cooked properly, this will make your pumpkin ice cream with a custard base both for food safety and for nice smooth creamy consistency."
