"Hi, my name is Kip and I am here on behalf of Expert Village. Several years ago I decided there wasn't enough maple desserts in this world so I started experimenting with maple and I came up with a Maple Apple Pie. In this video we are going to show you how to make one. The ingredients that you will need to make a Maple Apple pie will be 3/4 cup of Maple syrup and this has basically taken the place of the sugar that you would normally put into an apple pie. You will have 1 1/2 tablespoons of Tapioca, 3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and a 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg. You will need 2 tablespoons of butter and I put up just a little bit of Maple Extract in my pie to reduce the maple flavor just a little bit because cooked maple tastes a lot like brown sugar. And you will need 6 apples. Now the best apples in my opinion are Gravenstein apples. They are out of season right now so the second best would be Granny Smith."
