" Helen McMahon here for Expert Village. We put a few different kinds of nuts on these blonde brownies that we’re making. Here are some raw pecan halves, notice that many of these nuts come in a sealed package, which is a very good idea because it keeps them fresh and it prevents them from spilling. We’re just going to chop up a few of these, these can also be purchased in smaller bits and that makes it very handy to put on the top of brownies, just try a few of these. We’ve also put on pistachios in one corner and walnuts in another, and there’s one other kind that I haven’t mention but I think these are quiet interesting on brownies. These are almonds they’re sliced and blanched, and I just take a handful of them you don’t have to cut these up because they’re already pretty small. And they can be spread in another part of your brownie pan, and just spread them around try to cover up the places that don’t have enough of them so that they’re uniformly distributed. And they look very nice on the blonde brownies; you can also use ones that are toasted on the sides which gives it a little more contrast on color."
