" Hello! I’m Helen McMahon for Expert Village. We’re continuing now with our butterscotch brownies, and in here we’ve put the ingredients: 1 stick of butter, 2 cups of light brown sugar, and it should be very fresh and fully packed; and we’ve also added 2 good sized eggs and that’s continuing to mix. Now we’re going to add the rest of the ingredients. We need 1 teaspoon of salt; it should be right up to level and you can add that slowly as the mixer is going around. You also need some baking powder. This will be the leavening agent that will allow the brownies to rise and to have a nice consistency. It’s a good idea to have a straight area so that you can measure the baking powder just as it comes out of the can. And I slow this down area so that it doesn’t fly all over. That’s 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and this happens to Clabber Girl which usually gives us a very nice baking product, be sure to keep your lid on so that moisture doesn’t get into your baking powder, because that can impede the livening process."
