"Hey guys! My name is J and I am talking on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip, I am going to be showing you guys how to pick your apples for candy apples. For the candy apples, I am going to be picking the McIntosh apples. You can find these at any local grocery store. I guarantee it. The reason why I am picking these is the size, the color and the taste. They have a perfect color which is red. The candy apples have a red color to it and when you stick the red syrup over these, they become even extra red and you get that nice traditional red candy apple color. Another reason why I am using it is of course, the size because they are nice and small. It is perfect for dipping inside your sauce pan and it is perfect for kids guys, because kids don't usually eat those huge apples because it is hard to bite into. These little ones are just perfect for this. As far as picking them at the grocery store, I know there are a bunch of apples there. Sometimes you don't know how to pick them. When you go there, you want to feel the apple completely all the way around and make sure the apple is nice and firm. If you feel any type of soft spots, that means it has a bruise in it and it's not good. It is going to have a nice little bad spot on there that doesn't taste good. Also guys, you want to make sure that the coloring on it is basically even all the way around. You don't want any discolored marks or anything that looks out of the ordinary. You know you just want to use your best judgment. It is pretty simple to pick out apples. It's hard to pick a bad one. All right guys, this is enough for picking apples for your candy apples. Make sure you get the McIntosh and I am telling you you won't look back and never regret it. You guys have a good day. "
