Many people easily mistake spring rolls with egg rolls. They are two very different foods. The spring roll is wrapped in a thin rice sheet and usually has a mix of vegetables inside. An egg roll is wrapped in a thicker egg based wrap and has much more filling than a spring roll. Both are visually pretty similar but take one bite and you'll realize the sultry difference. Spring rolls are typically eaten at the Spring Festival in China because they are light and contain mostly vegetables.
