Video Transcript

"Hi, my name is Kip and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village today we are going to make a New York style cheesecake. Before we can actually begin to make the filling for our cheesecake we need to make the crust. There again there is many different types of crust you can use on cheesecakes or for cheesecakes then there are cheesecakes. It is typical and common to see some type of variation of a graham cracker crust, we are going to make a pastry crust. So you are going to need a quarter of a cup of self rising flour, 1 cup of plain flour general purpose flour. We are going to do 1 egg well beaten. You would need 2 1/2 ounces of chilled butter cubed. You would need a 1/2 cup of sugar preferably pastry sugar but something that is a little finer than your coarse sugar and but if you don't have it go ahead and use regular sugar it would work out pretty well. Then you are going to need a teaspoon of lemon lime. "
