"I'm Johnny Kha and this is Expert Village today we'll learn how to make Creme Brulee so for today's demonstration I personally like to use fresh vanilla beans but if your not able to get fresh vanilla beans vanilla extract is just fine. The right amount to use you can use just about 1 teaspoon of this into your mixture and this will replace the fresh vanilla bean added to the mixture to your heavy cream. Also when you make creme brulee and you prefer to use fresh vanilla beans just a note about vanilla beans most times you can go to any grocery stores and pick one up and jar like this. The vanilla beans usually vary about from $5.99 to about $8.99 for one vanilla bean. Probably the cheapest place to get vanilla beans would be the farmers market most of the time they would carry it sometimes they don't so you probably have to check around for certain farmers market."
