Our first step to making snowflake cookies is going to be going over all of the ingredients that you will need. We are using a basic row sugar cookie recipe so that the ingredients are fairly simple. We want flour, 1 egg, baking powder, vanilla, butter or margarine and shortening, of course sugar and salt. Now if you want to add some other flavors you can but for the purpose of our snowflakes because we want to keep the dough nice and as close to white as possible. We are going to have these simple ingredients very pale colors which will also help when decorating and which will be our next step when I talk about the decorating and other equipment that you'll need. But basic flavor will be vanilla you might want to add lemon instead it's up to based on your taste are and how you want the cookies to turn out. "
