"Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail. On behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to make this delicious spicy sweet potato pie. Now that we have the sweet potatoes all nicely mashed up we need to measure them. Although we are going by the weight it's a good approximation we ultimately want a certain amount of volume. So we want to have 1 1/2 cup of sweet potatoes so I'm going to scoop it off of the plate and pack it into the measuring cup. You want it to be nice and full you don't want any air pockets in there because we want to get as accurate in measurement as possible. You have a nice flexible spatula it's really going to help so we want to scoop this back into our bowl and I'm using a 3/4 cup measuring cup. So I'm going to use 2 of these otherwise you can just use a one cup measuring cup and a 1/2 cup measuring cup. If you have any leftover sweet potatoes then just go ahead and eat them or you can always make a miniature sweet potato pie but I think after all the hard work of making the pie you deserve a little sweet potato on the side."
