"Hi I'm Karen for Expert Village. Now we're going to prepare or batter for Death by Chocolate cake. This recipe calls for the chocolate, and the butter to be melted. You need to use a nice heavy bottom pan to melt your chocolate and butter in and we'll just place all that chocolate in there and the butter. You'll just heat this on the stove on a low temperature until it melts. You can also do it in a double boiler if you want to be extra sure that your not going to burn the chocolate. But use a low heat and a heavy bottom pan and that should work well. While our chocolate's melting lets do our eggs and sugar. We're going to crack our eggs into a glass measuring cup to make sure we don't get any egg shells, there are 4 eggs. I'll pour it right into our mixing bowl, and then we'll add our sugar, 1/2 cup of white sugar, and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. We're going to beat that for a while until it becomes a little bit lighter and helps dissolve the sugar. Now our chocolate's been melting on the stove on a low heat I'm going to get that now and show you what it looks like. It's just been melting and I've stirred it up together, it's still pretty warm and we don't want to add to our batter. At this time we're just going to put it in the refrigerator or let it sit out a little bit to cool before we add it to our batter."
