"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Angela Spano and I'm going to be showing you how to make nut dough today from my new book "Not Just Desserts." I've gathered together the food fillings. As I said we're going to use the raspberry preserves, we're going to use apples from a can. That's a regular size 21oz. of apples in a can, we're going to add a little bit of cinnamon and sugar. Very little cinnamon because remember there's plenty of cinnamon in the dough and raisins. This morning when I went to get my raisins and I'm sure it happens to a lot of people, I shook the box it was like hard little rocks in there, but you don't have to be concerned because all I did was I took the raisins I put them in a cup with hot tap water and I let them soak. Now, before I add them to my apples I'm going to drain them off all the liquid and I want to show you how plumpy the are. See, they're nice and plumpy and I didn't have to throw them away. So that's another great tip, whenever you run across any dried fruit and you wanted to make it soft, soak in hot tap water until it plumps up again. So we add in our raisins."
