"My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today, I'm going to show you how to make a nice simple pound cake. Okay. So for now we're going to make sure that our oven's already on. Our oven's on three hundred degrees ready to go. We're going to turn this down. It's time to add that little bit of cinnamon we've got. Make sure it gets mixed together nicely in here. The cinnamon doesn't really add a whole lot in the way of flavor, but it adds a great deal in the way of the aroma of the mixture and of the cake itself. So we're going to turn that back. And now we're going to add the vanilla in. You want to kind of pop the vanilla in all at once while it's going. Because there's alcohol in it and it will actually start to curdle to make sure if it sits in one spot too long. Lastly we've got our water mixture here, which is our water and baking soda. So I'm just kind of giving it a stir real quick just to make sure. Turn our mixture down. Pop that right in, let this go for a few minutes, just to make sure everything all nicely mixed together. Whipping this to where you get a nice aeration. And the amount of air we put in here is going to make a tremendous difference in the total, the final texture of the actual cake. Alright, so we'll let this go for about two minutes and we'll come back."
