"Here are some helpful tips on how to store berries properly. This applies to blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries as well. You want to keep them in the plastic container or carton that they came in. When refrigerated keep them away from the crisper drawer. The humidity in the crisper drawer is a little too high to keep the berries fresh. Place the container of berries in a brown paper bag. Fold down the top of the bag keeping it loose to allow for circulation. It is important to note that you want to store them like this without washing them first. As soon as you put water on the berries or cut the stem off of the strawberries they will start to go bad. Allow yourself some extra time to wash the berries just before you use them. This will give you the best, freshest, and most flavorful berry you can get."
