"Hi my name is Kip and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're making pumpernickel bread, a dark, dense, rye bread. The next step we need to do is to get our dry ingredients together. The dry ingredients that we're going to need aside from the yeast and the sugar that we used for our yeast mixture will be as follows; we'll need a teaspoon of salt, a cup of bran, three and a half to four and a half cups of all purpose flour, or unbleached flour, three cups of rye flour, two tablespoons of caraway seeds, and two teaspoons of fennel seeds. We'll take these ingredients, we'll combine them together, and then we'll add our yeast to them. "
