"Hi, my name is Jessica on behalf of Expert Village and today I'm going to be showing you how to make banana bread. So in this clip we're going to talk about the ingredients you'll need to make banana bread. What you're going to start with is 1/3 cups of shortening, 3/4 cups of sugar, 1/3 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1/2 of baking soda, 1/2 of salt, 2 large eggs, you're going to need a cup of mashed bananas. That's usually going to be between three or four bananas depending on how big they are. When you're mashing the bananas you're going to use lemon juice usually about a teaspoon maybe half of teaspoon and about a teaspoon of vanilla. Some of the utensils you need to make the banana bread is a mixer, you don't necessarily need an electric mixer if you want to just mix everything by hand but it makes it a little easier. You're going to need two bowls, you're going to need a loaf pan to bake the banana bread in, measuring cups, measuring spoons, you need something to mash the banana with just a regular spoon. You can use a masher if you have one and then another liquid measuring cup. "
