"Hi! This is Karen for Expert Village. Now we are going to make the batter for our Belgium waffles. We will start by softening our yeast in 1/4 cup of water. The water has been warmed in tghe microwave till it is about 110 degrees or until you touch it and it is warm but not hot. Two teaspoons of yeast and just sprinkle that into your 1/4 cup of water. you can just stir that in and we will let that stick, set aside. Next we are going to separate our eggs. In this recipe we need to separate our eggs. You do that, crack your egg, very carefully open your egg and move the yolk from shell to shell until all the egg white is in the glass. Be careful not to break the yolk and if you get any yolk in the egg whites, you should throw it away because the egg whites will not whip up. I am going to take the yolk and place it into our mixing bowl because we will use that yolk and let's crack another one. Open it very slowly and just move it back and forth. There are eggs separating gadgets you get in stores and they work pretty well. Okay I am going to put my egg whites into the mixing bowl and we will be whipping that up later. Okay next we are going to add our wet ingredients to our egg yolk, 1 1/2 cups of water and a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, 2 tablespoons of oil and we are going to take our butter and melt that in the microwave so that we can mix that in to. Here is our melted butter and we will just add that right in there with our other liquid ingredients and we will beat that up with our fork until it is pretty uniformed. You can use a circular moition stirring quickly to get that all beat in. "
