"Uhm. Hi, I'm Stephanie Barnett here on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you today how to make a fabulous Split Pea Soup. So now I have my split peas and I have rinsed and sorted just to make sure there are no rocks in there. Little did you know there could be rocks in split peas and also dried beans. So I am going to add this to my stock and my mirepoix. Make sure you get all those split peas in there. Okay those peas that went flying, do not add them back to your soup. Unhygienic. Must have good hygiene in our kitchen. I am going to stir these up. If you notice, I rinsed these and the peas got a little clunky. You want to stir this to unclump those peas and get them all mixed in there. At this point, I have enough stock in there but if I needed to, I could add some more water and more stock. You want them fully covering all of the vegetables and peas, at least another inch of liquid. "
