"Hi, I'm Stephanie Barnett here on behalf of Expert Village. I am going to show you today how to make fabulous Split Pea Soup. So you want to take your dry peas and you want to rinse them off and also look for stones. Sometimes in these little peas, I don't know how rocks get in there. You want to look through and if there are any peas that just look really brown and groose and oh, there's a rock. I don't know why the rocks get in there but they do. So you want to look through the peas and make sure there are no rocks, no stones and then you want to rinse this. I am just going to spray the peas down and make sure they are all rinsed. Make sure to wash your hands before you cook, rinse them off. You might want to do another check and make sure you didn't miss any little rocks. That is the worse thing for somebody to bite into while eating their soup and bite down and have a rock. Okay so you really want to check that. "
