"Hi. This is Rich Buccola here in New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make an artichoke and roasted pepper dip. Alright, I just added our roasted red pepper to our artichoke bowl. And we're going to chop up some nicely fresh garlic because I love garlic in everything. You'll use about four cloves of garlic. And this was half of a piece of garlic I had there. So I'm just going to break it all open. See it breaks pretty easy and just take out our cloves. Just going to give it a, to get it out of it's shell, you just want to get the butt end of the knife under it and give it a punch. And you'll see it will come right out of it's shell. Look at that. Nice and easy. What you want to do is that hard tip, give that a cut off and put that on your side. Do this to all of your shells, all of your garlic. Alright what I'm going to do is just cut some slices in our garlic. Nice thin slices. I'll turn my garlic like so and cut them pieces like so. And it doesn't matter if I don't get the right consistency. Cause what I'll do then of course is just put all my garlic in and I'll use the back end of the knife and just start chopping my garlic. Like so. Until I get the desired consistency of smally, finely chopped, smally? Is that a word? I don't know. I'll tell you. When I'm chopping and working, I'm just having fun. Chop it real fine. Almost to a minced garlic. And we're going to add it to our bowl. Alright so I chopped up this garlic real fine and I'm just going to add it to my bowl. Come back. We're going to start chopping up one small onion and we're also going to chop up some scallion as well."
