"Hey guys! My name is J and I'm talking to you on behalf of Expert Village. On this clip, I'm going to show you about adding the water to the pot. As far as the water goes, you just want to add it about a little more than the half way point. What you're going to want to do is add the potatoes to cold water. The reason why you want to add your potatoes to the cold water is they're going to cook completely and evenly rather than it being boiling hot. You add the potatoes and the outside cooks a lot faster than the inside. This way they start out in kind of cold medium warm water and they cook evenly inside all the way out. You want to add a bunch of salt to this water. About a big hand full of salt. In the next clip, I'm going to show you what to do with the potatoes before you stick them in the water. Thanks."
