"Hi! This is Richard Buccola here in New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village, I am going to show you how to make Scalloped Potatoes. As you see when you cut your potato, they make actually start turning color. You don't want that. I mean my mom never liked that. She used to say if you just take some cold water out of the refrigerator which everybody always have. Just some cold water and put your potatoes in there and they won't get as brown. They actually keep their nice white color. It's an old trick. She used to also take a little bit of salt too and just salt the water. Just a little bit, not that much. Okay throw it over your left shoulder. That's an old wise tale and mom always used to do it too and I have been doing it ever since. We've got our potatoes all peeled in the salted water. Here's your mess. This is real convenient now. You just take this to your garbage and throw it away. Throw it away and you are ready to go with your potatoes now. "
