"Hi, I'm Rachel for Expert Village. Now I'm going to show you how to prepare the cabbage to be soft enough and able to so we can take the leaf out without tearing it apart. So there are 2 ways. The way that I'm going to show here is I put it in the freezer for 2 days and after 2 days, you take it out of the freezer over night. Then in the morning the leaves are very as you can see are becoming see through and they are very soft. This way first of all it is not hard to deal with. Second of all the leaves are coming out much easier but it is a longer process. Another way to get the leaves out is to take the whole head and put it in a bowl of water. Put the head of the cabbage upside down in side the boiling water for 10 minutes. Then take it out and let cool for a little bit, take the center out and then separate the leaves. Like I said today I'm going to use this cabbage that stayed in the freezer for 2 days then was defrosted."
