"Hi, I'm Leah Schaefer and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make my party dips. So to start out our spinach and artichoke dip with sausage and chestnuts, we're going to defrost our frozen spinach. So I just pop it out of the container and put in a microwavable safe bowl and we'll put it in the microwave. I'm going to start out just a couple minutes and then we'll watch it and wait until it's defrosted. Okay, we'll go ahead and check it. This bowl is probably going to be hot, so we use a towel to take it out with and we'll just take a fork and break it up just to make sure it's completely defrosted and it looks like it is. There is a lot of water leftover, so we're going to take it and put it in a colander so that it can drain out. Now the one thing to keep in mind is when you're working with the colander and you have something like spinach, that it can be fine, it can go through those holes is you're going to want to get a towel. So I'm just going to grab a towel that I am not afraid to ruin. I actually have a couple of towels that I use for these kind of things anyway. So I'm just going to take that, grab the bowl and we're going to align the bottom of the colander with the towel. That is just going to give an extra layer of protection so that the spinach isn't sneaking through. Okay, and we'll just dump that right into the colander, we'll see some of that is already starting to come through and you just scrape the rest right down into it. We will let that sit and drain while we work on the rest of the dip."
