Tips for Knowing When Shrimp are Finished Boiling

"Hi, this is Rich Buccola here in NYC and on behalf of Expert Village today I'm going to show you how to make shrimp cocktail. We're back it's been about a minute in a half only, two minutes these bad boys are going to be done, look at them. Beautiful orange shrimp, look at that. That is what you're looking for a beautiful color like that a minute and a half you don't want to over cook them. So that is it come over here, before earlier I didn't talk about this colander I always forget the colander, anyway put your colander so you can drain them, put them in your sink. Just grab this like so, don't burn yourself go slowly and the little bits of rosemary and stuff like that, don't worry because we're going to wash them right off. The bay leaf we're going to peel off and we're just going to give it a quick rinse under some cold water, ah that smells so good. Pick out any bay leafs that you have and what you want to do is to get a fresh bowl like so and just give them a quick rinse and put them right into your bowl. This way you get off any rosemary, these shrimps are so bit and beautiful go out and make sure you get fresh shrimp because let me tell you. You give your friends some bad shrimp they are going to hate you. If you give them some good ones they are going to love you and if you give them a nice shrimp cocktail with a glass of wine when they come over for dinner they're going to say "wow", that's what they say to me.
