"Hello, my name is Frank Torres and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. And this segment is about setting up your observation point While pulling mobile surveillance. Congratulations, you?re on your first assignment and you'll want to know what to do when you first get to your subject's residence. So, we'll use this residence over here off to my left as an example. Alright so you've gotten to your subject residence. What do you do now? The first thing you?re going to want to do is call into the police and let them know that you?re a private investigator pulling surveillance in the area. Say, "I'm such and such and I'm pulling surveillance on the corner of Main and Elm". That way there won't be any problems if they come to check you out later. Next thing you want to do is report what you see when you first get to your subject's residence. You'll want to report exactly what it is from the description of the building to the vehicle parked in their driveway. You'll want to look for signs that the subject is home. If the subject isn't home, if there isn't a vehicle then you'll might have to do some pretexting. And we'll talk about that in another segment. Also, you won't want to set up an observation point near any children. That is a no no. Suspicious vehicles next to an area where children are playing are a warning sign to anyone regardless of who you are. If you keep track of all these things that we just went over you'll be able to set up an observation point with no problem."
