Mobile Surveillance: Dealing with the Police

"Hello, my name is Frank Torres and I'm here with Expert Village. This segment is about dealing with the police while performing mobile surveillance. It's going to happen sometime while your doing surveillance. Someone in the community is going to notice a suspicious vehicle and they're going to call the police. Stay calm. You called in before when you first checked into your observation point. So when the police slowly approach you treat it like your getting pulled over. Slowly roll down your window and get all your necessary documents ready including your private investigators license or permit. When the police officer approaches you and starts asking you questions, calmly and respectfully answer them. This isn't like the movies where the private investigator gives the police officer a hard time, and explain why your there. In my experience I've found the police officer, police officers work well with private investigators, and will often do their best not to give away the reason they're there. So, remember these points when dealing with the police officers. Stay calm, have all your documentation ready and be respectful. And I think you'll do just fine."
