"Hello, my name's Frank Torres and I'm here on behalf of expertvillage.com. This segment is about your video camera and your mobile surveillance work. For a private investigator, their video camera is their moneymaker. That is what they use, that is what the courts want to see when investigating insurance and worker's compensation fraud. So, naturally it's very important that you have a good one. And there's certain features your going to want. Like a camera with a wide viewfinder. You're not always going to be able to stick your eye through a lens when your doing surveillance. Your also going to want to make sure it has steady shot. A lot of times there'll be a lot of movement. You'll have to pull out your camera with a moment's notice. And you'll want to be able to make sure that the videotape you shoot is usable. There are also many accessories that come along with it. Like a tripod for when you'll have your subject in line for a long period of time; a camera bag. Should you have to follow your subject inside to a store or any other building to try to catch some footage of them in there. What I'm saying is that it all starts with the camera and that's what everybody wants to see. So, before you leave for each shift you'll definitely want to make sure that your batteries fully charged, you have plenty of tape. And even a spare battery in case one dies on you. Without the camera your not very much use."
