Video Transcript

"On behalf of expertvillage.com I'm Jim Koch and today we are talking about auto lockouts. In this clip, we are going to demonstrate how to use what they call a lasso tool. A lasso tool works really well when you've got a door lock when it is an upright and that's got a nice big head on it. A lot of the newer cars are starting to go back to this but on the newer cars the doors are so tight and so well shielded inside that the old method like a slim-jim just don't work anymore. What you are going to do is come up to the car and take your wedge in this case we are using the air wedge. You are going to slide that into the door, get it into place and air it up. Once your door is wedged, you've got plenty of room to work your tool in there. You take your lasso tool and slip that right in and get it past the weather stripping. Once you've got the tool inside the door you are going to slide it down. Basically just loop it around the lock right there and then pull a knob on the end which is going to tighten the lasso. When you are holding the knob, pull up on the entire tool and the door unlocks. At this point, you just release it, open your door and your customer is happy. "
