"In this clip, we're going to talk about the proper service procedure in order to remove and replace a broken CV joint also known as a drive shaft on a front-wheel drive vehicle. In this step, we're going to talk about the proper service method for reinstalling our ball joint stud onto the bottom of the spindle. Now what I'm going to do is take my pickle fork and slide it under the tie rod end and over the sway bar. Now from there, I'm going to take my jack handle, these happen to work for as a pretty good pry bar as long as you don't need to use excessive force on them. If you use excessive force, you will bend it and it won't line back up with your jack. So what I'm going to do is take and slide that on and pretty much just kneel on it. As you can see, the ball joint is coming right down you can see it where the control arm is. See that? Just like so. I'm going to take and align this stud because it moves around with the bottom opening of the hub. Once you have it aligned in the way you want it, you can take and release the pressure with your knee and slip the ball joint into position just like so. Once you have the ball joint stud seated all the way into the spindle, you're going to want to take a look and make sure its protruded all the way to the top, actually sticking through just a little bit. That is the proper way to reinstall your ball joint stud."
