"TINA STULL: Hi. I'm Tina Stull, and I drive the Top Dragster for Interstate Batteries. On behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to share my thoughts on being mentally prepared for a run. By getting up there and having confidence in your car and knowing that you're prepared, that's the start of it. When they finally call and you know it's time to get in the car, that's when I shut out the world. The best thing for me is I get in there, I do the same routine over and over. I've got my suit on, I sit down, put my arm restraints on the seat buckle, buckle them in, and then I go put my helmet on, I put my neck brace on and then I put my gloves on and then I tighten down my belts. That I--I keep it the same every time so that there's no question that you forget things and trust me, everybody has forgotten things. I've seen guys up there with no gloves. I've seen guys up there with no neck restraint. And then I've made the same mistakes but knowing that you're prepared, that helps you get there. From the time I put on my helmet, that's when I focus. And the people that work with me know that. You know who you are, and you need to respect that."
