"Hi, my name's Tina Stull, and I drive the top dragster for Interstate Batteries. On behalf of Expert Village, today I want to talk about the driver's equipment. The last thing we haven't talked about is the neck restraints, and this year in top dragster, if you're going over 200 miles per hour, a Hans?s device or something similar to it is going to be required. But, typically, for Super Comp and cars going under 200, your typical, just standard neck-roll. It's a simple, foam-filled--it's almost just like a sock--foam-filled and this goes on before you race and it too has an SFI rating. So, when you go to check in--and we've talked about tech--they're going to want to see all of this equipment, and they're going to check it for the SFI tags. As you can see on each one of these items, they have an SFI tag, and they're going to check. Some of these things will go out of date, other things won't. If they feel that your gloves or your shoes, or actually any item is too worn out to protect, they will take it from you and not allow you to use that for that. So you need to keep your equipment in good shape. But anything--so you know that you're buying something they will allow is when you see that SFI tag on it. In your rulebook or online, you can find out exactly what level of protection that you need for your particular category."
