"Hi! I'm George Stonebrook for Expert Village and I am here talking to you today about preventing theft to your vintage car. Theft can occur in many different ways. Sometimes there are things you have to add and sometimes its things the car already possesses. In this particular automobile unless you know how to put it in gear, the potential thief may not understand or be able to figure out that in order to shift it, you've got to push buttons. The buttons on this particular vehicle are in the center of the steering wheel. This is one of the innovated designs that they had back in the time and also acted as a deterrent because not everybody knew that you could push a button. Everyone was used to grabbing a lever on the side of the steering column or perhaps one down on the floor but it is easy enough to see how a mission like that could cause a little confusion in potential car theft. This particular vehicle has to be shifted in certain sequence in order for it to get into gear as well. The brake has to be depressed and it needs to be pressed into the neutral switch and then into the drive switch in order for it to go into gear. "
