"Hello! This is Jerry Fishel at Vicious Cycles in Santa Clara, Utah for Expert Village. Well what we’ve just done is a test ride and now we’ve got our oil nice and hot, but what we want to do is check it on the side stand for this model; some models are different. Got your chassis oil rag and we are done. We’ve covered a lot in these segments and if there is anything you feel that you are uncomfortable with, like maybe trying to adjust your rear belt or primary chain, go ahead and take it to your dealership or to a local mechanic. You know there is a lot of good local mechanics out there that is working at after market shops. You don’t have to go to a dealership. One of the best things that you can do is buy a service manual for your bike. Not your owner’s manual but the actual service manual. There’s a lot of good information in there that can help you. Things that we went over today were basically services oriented for like a 5,000 mile service. A lot of things that you learned today can be used to service your bike. The best part about owning a bike of course is the ride. If you are riding your bike and it doesn’t feel comfortable or you’ve got a vibration that shouldn’t be there, something feels a little wobbly in the front end or the rear, you know examine it the best you can first; if you don’t want to take it to a dealer, but go right into a dealer or go right in an after market shop. Just by experience if you are riding your bike, you are going to know if there’s something not right. "
