"On behalf of Expert Village I'm Laura Banford. I'm going to show you how to make some rock and pasta salad and some couscous lentil salad. Now we're going to boil our pasta. We don't want to boil the pasta too long because you want it to remain al dente which literally means in Italian to the tooth. The pasta after it's cooked should have some resistance when you bite into it. If you over cook the pasta there is no saving it. You kind of have to start over again. As I said we're going to use this Rotel pasta. I have a few, about four quarts of salted water, boiling furiously away. You always salt your pasta water, it's the only chance you can to infuse your pasta with flavor. I'm going to drop this in about a half a pound, then give it a little stir to make sure it's not sticking together. Put our lid back on and I'm going to boil that for about eight minutes. When we come back we're going to prep our red onion and celery. "
