"Hi this Karen for Expert Village. Now I would show you how to peel the garlic first remove the 4 cloves of garlic from the base and we would discard this. To get the skin off easily you shouldn't have to struggle with garlic skin you can take the flat of a large knife and with the palm of your hand place it on the flat of the knife on top of the garlic and just push down give it some pressure and you just squeeze the garlic and the peel would just come right off. Another way to do it is to take a nice sturdy I like to use this glass it is a nice heavy glass with a flat bottom and just whack it. You can use a jar that is good also and you kind of you know your jar of mustard, your jelly, or something like and it give it a whack and it just releases the skin so it comes right off. Then you can chop it or put it through the garlic press anything you want. I'm just going to rough chop this to put into our stock and then we would chop up the rest of the vegetables just a rough chop."
