"Hi I'm Karen for Expert Village after our soap comes to a boil we want to set it to simmer so you put the heat down to low and let it it should just boiling very lightly just a simmer. And during this time once in a while your going to want to take shallow spoon and skim the top of fat and if you get any of that foam that accumulates on top you can skim that off. This should simmer for about 3 hours and even longer if you really want a rich soap, now when you put the cover back on you don't want to put it on tight or it's likely to boil over. So you'll just put the cover on and tilt it a little if you got a steam vent in your pot lid that might be sufficient to let the steam out so it won't boil over. But if you don't have that if you just lightly tilt the cover off of the pot so that it will simmer and not boil over."
