"This is Josiah Owen with Expert Village. Today we will be making beef potato soup. You are going to need 1 pound of ground beef chuck, 7-8 potatoes. Cut them to 1 inch cubes, 2 cans of cream of mushrooms, 2 cans beef broth, 1-16 ounce sour cream, and 1 chopped onion. Start off by cutting your potato into 1 inch strips on one side then cutting to one inch cubes. We are going to start on the onion, I'm going to cut the ends off and peel the outer layer of the onion. This is going to be too rough for us to eat, we can not use it. This is just a protective layer for the onion. So we peel that off and cut the other end off and if you just want to make a couple of slices through the onion, this is a easier way to make dice onions. I'm going to turn it half way and go the exact opposite. You are going to make a criss cross pattern. After you do this you want to put it on the side and start dicing away. Make sure you don't get your fingers. "
