    "This is Josiah Owen with Expert Village. After it is mixed well and a few minutes have passed you want to go ahead and add the dry white wine. It is about a quarter cup. At this point we would have some little brown bits sort of mix those out. You want to cook for about 2 minutes until the wine has evaporated. You are now going to want to add 3 cups chicken broth and stir that in. Add the potatoes and pepper, cover and reduce the heat to medium or medium low and simmer it for 45-60 minutes. There you have potato stew. Just remember if you cook with a whole bay leaf to take them out. "
